Rosie is a 57 year old patient having weight problems for the last 11 years. Rosie had a consultation in nutrition on the 8th of January 2010 seeking help to lose weight and improve her body shape. Although she was overweight about 5kg in average (at the time of the consultation her weight was 74kg), her major concern was related to her body shape. All that extra weight was located around the waist area making her feel very uncomfortable and unhappy.
With respect to her health status, Rosie was experiencing high levels of stress on a continuous base. Her energy level was very low and she was feeling tired by the end of the day. Quite often she was experiencing headaches. In fact, the BIA analysis revealed phase angle value of 4.4 degrees which is considered below the average.
Given the above, Rosie was also seeking further advice and support to improve her health status by gaining more energy and stamina.
It is noteworthy to mention that although her diet was average (having homemade meals three times per day), she was lacking of variety in her food choices. Following a detailed assessment of her nutritional regime, data suggested a low daily intake of protein. She wasn’t drinking enough water (2 glasses in average). No supplements or any other remedies were currently taken.

She lost body weight of 5kg and 4% of body fat. Lean mass percentage was significantly increased by a 3.6%. It is also very important to mention that phase angle value was slightly increased by 0.4 degrees
Rosie was feeling much more energetic during the day. She was very pleased and confident again. Several times during her follow-ups sessions she was mentioning about the importance to understand where the problem comes from and being well educating in order to treat it properly and keep the results for a very long term.
